Wendy Livingston

SVP, Human Resources (Interim) at Boeing

Wendy Livingston currently serves as the interim senior vice president of Human Resources for The Boeing Company. Since assuming the position in April 2020, Livingston leads the company’s leadership and learning, talent planning, employee and labor relations, total rewards and diversity and inclusion initiatives. She is also a member of the company’s executive council.

Livingston was previously the vice president of Corporate Human Resources, where she led an HR team that supports nine Boeing corporate functions: Communications, Engineering, Test & Technology, Enterprise Performance & Strategy, Government Operations, Human Resources, Law, Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Operations, Office of Internal Governance and Administration, Information Technology & Data Analytics.

She also served as the vice president of Talent & Leadership, the organization responsible for identifying and developing leaders within the company, shaping the performance and succession management processes, leading organizational effectiveness efforts and driving a more performance-based culture.

Prior to that, she was director of Human Resources for Commercial Aviation Services (CAS), a division of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. She was responsible for all aspects of the HR function supporting CAS, which employs more than 13,000 people who provide customer support for airlines in more than 60 countries around the world.

She has held leadership and human resource generalist roles for several organizations, including Information Technology and the Engineering organization of the company's Defense, Space & Security business unit. She also oversaw leadership development programs within the Corporate Audit organization.

Livingston joined Boeing in 1995 as a business and planning analyst in the finance function for McDonnell Douglas Military aircraft. In 2001, she entered the first class of corporate enterprise auditors, an employee development program, where she performed audits at company locations across the U.S. In 2002, she joined the Comanche program, a 50/50 joint venture with Sikorsky Aerospace, as an integrated scheduling manager.

She has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Peru State College in Nebraska, and a master's degree in human resources from Lindenwood University in Missouri. She is certified by the Society of Human Resource Management and has served as a board member for local non-profit organizations.
