As Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, Paulo Pisano is responsible for the overall employee experience at Booking.com. This includes overseeing the company’s global human resource efforts to ensure best-in-class recruitment, training and onboarding, employee engagement and relations, learning and development, performance management, and staff recognition programs for over 17,500 Booking.com employees in 200 offices worldwide.

Prior to joining Booking.com in early 2020, Paulo was the Chief People Officer at Galp, a globally integrated energy company. Previously, he served as the SVP of Talent and Head of Transformation as well as Global HR Director at Pearson, the world’s leading education management company, following his post as Head of Organizational Effectiveness at Barclays. Paulo started his career in the fields of consulting and change management and for over twenty years he has engaged in a variety of initiatives in the fields of human capital, executive coaching and organizational development that have taken him to work directly with more than 30 countries across four continents.

Paulo is a graduate of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and holds an MBA from INSEAD, where he focused his studies in strategy and organisation, while studying in both the Europe and Asia campuses.
