Joanne Knight

Joanne Knight has extensive work experience in various leadership and finance roles. Joanne joined Cargill in 2019 and is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this, Joanne held the position of Vice President Finance, Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain Enterprise from June 2020 to January 2023, and the role of VP Corporate FP&A from July 2019 to June 2020.

Before joining Cargill, Joanne worked at General Mills starting in 2010. Joanne held several senior marketing manager positions, including Senior Marketing Manager, Kid Cereal from September 2018 to June 2019, Senior Marketing Manager, Cereal Innovation from September 2017 to September 2018, and Senior Marketing Manager, Convenience and Foodservice from July 2015 to August 2017. In this cross-functional role, Joanne was responsible for managing the health of various platforms, including P&L accountability, long-range planning, innovation and renovation pipelines, demand forecasting, and capacity planning. Joanne also served as a Finance Manager and Senior Financial Analyst during their time with General Mills.

Joanne began their career at Wachovia in 2005, where they held the roles of Associate and Analyst. As an Associate, they led underwriting and reporting processes for a $1.8B portfolio of gaming and lodging clients.

Joanne Knight pursued their education at Harvard Business School from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Prior to that, they attended the University of Virginia from 2001 to 2005 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. During their time at the University of Virginia, they focused their studies on Finance and Management, completing concentrations in these fields.
