Sheela Kosaraju

Sheela Kosaraju has extensive work experience in the legal field. Sheela began their career at HomeCom Communications, Inc. in 1997, where they served as Vice President and General Counsel. Sheela later joined Closedloop Solutions, Inc. as the Head of Legal Affairs from 2001 to 2003. Sheela then transitioned to PHH, where they held the role of Vice President and Associate General Counsel from 2004 to 2008. Sheela continued their legal career at PHH Arval, a subsidiary of Cendant, as Vice President and Associate General Counsel from 2003 to 2010. In 2010, they joined Ciena as Assistant General Counsel and quickly progressed to become the Head of Legal for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Sheela also held the positions of Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and International General Counsel at Ciena. Most recently, they serve as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Ciena since 2023. Additionally, in 2018, they held the role of Vice President and General Counsel, International for Ciena Corporation. Sheela Kosaraju pursued their undergraduate education from 1992 to 1996 at Carnegie Mellon University. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering and Public Policy. Following their undergraduate studies, Sheela Kosaraju enrolled at Wake Forest University School of Law in 1996. Continuing their educational journey, they completed their law degree (JD) from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1999, specializing in the field of Law.
