Octavia Spencer

Octavia Spencer is currently the VP, Associate General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Intercontinental Exchange. Prior to this role, Octavia worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at AkzoNobel and provided legal support for various performance coatings businesses in the Americas region. Octavia also served as a Legal Counsel at Akzo Nobel, managing the Powder Coatings business. Before that, Octavia was an Associate at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, where Octavia managed public company compliance with filing requirements. Octavia holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
