John George

SVP, CIO at ICF

John George is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Innovation Officer at ICF. John has over 18 years of experience in the information technology field.

George began their career at Vangent, Inc. in October 2003 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Innovation Officer. John was responsible for providing information technology services and strategies for the $800M+ Vangent enterprise. George led the initial development and evolution of IT services for the company, which included a spin-off to private equity firm, and subsequent sale to strategic buyer four years later.

During their time at Vangent, George drove significant efficiencies into IT infrastructure yielding 10% YOY reduction in cost while enhancing services. John also consolidated ERP systems across the enterprise to a single financial platform based on Deltek Costpoint and PeopleSoft HRMS. In addition, George led technology due-diligence on potential acquisition targets and integration efforts on acquisitions of various sized companies.

In 2011, George was named Tech Council of Maryland’s CIO of the year. John established the company’s Innovation Lab to discover and develop technical and process innovations to enhance company’s competitive advantage.

John George attended Virginia Tech and earned a BS in Electrical Engineering. John then attended Great Mills HS.

John George reports to John Wasson, CEO and President. They work with Kristen Klovsky - SVP, Corporate Growth, Kris Tremaine - Senior Managing Parter, Group Leader, and Tobias Schaefer - SVP, Europe & Asia.
