Greg Ulrich

EVP, Strategy, Corporate Development & M&A at Mastercard

Greg Ulrich is the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at Mastercard and a member of the company's management committee.

Greg oversees a global team that is tasked with developing the company's strategy and identifying and driving key initiatives to support Mastercard's growth. In addition, Greg is responsible for corporate development – including M&A, venture, and minority investments – and the integration of the company's acquisitions. In these efforts, Greg is a key advisor to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors, helping to shape the future trajectory of the company.

Prior to assuming this role in May of 2020, Greg was responsible for guiding Mastercard's Data & Services strategy and innovation team. He had also served as the company's lead for Data & Services in North America.​

Greg has more than 20 years of experience helping organizations use data and insights to develop innovative and practical solutions to challenging problems, maximizing shareholder value.

He originally joined Mastercard in 2015 when it acquired Applied Predictive Technologies (APT), a leading cloud-based analytics company. Greg guided the firm's CPG and Manufacturing vertical, having also served as the primary lead for its work in San Francisco, Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining APT, Greg was a management consultant, initially with Marakon Associates before working with myriad organizations in the social and nonprofit sector.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, where he was a Palmer Scholar, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University.
