Jay Orlandi

Mr. Orlandi serves as executive vice president and general counsel at Pacific Life where he oversees the Law, Corporate Compliance, Government Relations and Corporate Secretary departments. Mr. Orlandi is also a member of the Pacific Life Management Committee.

Prior to joining Pacific Life in November 2020, Mr. Orlandi served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Transamerica where he was responsible for all business support functions, including law and compliance, communications and public affairs, human resources, corporate development, strategy, enterprise technology, data and analytics, information security, and marketing. Mr. Orlandi served for several years as Transamerica’s general counsel and chief legal officer. Mr. Orlandi also served as the acting CEO for the company’s Individual Solutions business including life and long-term care insurance, fixed and variable annuities, and mutual funds.

With more than 20 years of legal experience, Mr. Orlandi began his career in private practice with the Los Angeles firm of Barger & Wolen (now Hinshaw & Culbertson) handling insurance regulatory and complex business litigation matters.
