Ilarie Letca has a diverse work experience, starting as a Software Design Engineer at Softwin SRL in 1997. They then worked at Microsoft from 1999 to 2014, where they held roles such as Principal Engineer and Engineer Manager, focusing on big data analytics and cloud services monitoring systems. They also played a significant role in the design and architecture of SCOM URL monitoring and prototyped the first Azure monitoring solution showcased at a PDC keynote.

In 2014, Letca joined eBay Inc as a Director of Software Development, where they managed multiple engineering teams, led data analytics and machine learning efforts, and drove innovation for the Seattle office.

From 2015 to 2018, Letca worked at Microsoft again, this time as an Architect, driving the architecture of next-generation Yammer services integrated within the Office 365 suite. They also played a thought leadership role in defining social services and messaging experiences across Office 365, focusing on enterprise compliance, cloud services, big data, distributed systems, consensus, and machine learning.

After Microsoft, in 2018, Letca joined Snap Inc. as a Senior Manager. They then moved to UiPath in 2019, where they held the roles of Distinguished Engineer, Senior Director of Engineering, and currently Vice President of Engineering. In these roles, they have been responsible for process mining, insights cloud data services, managing partner relationships, driving company-wide architecture initiatives, solving scale-out data problems, and defining operational strategies.

Ilarie Letca earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1997, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics / Computer Science from the University of Bucharest.
