John A. McCallum

Chairman at VIVEX Biologics

John McCallum has served as a Director since the inception of VIVEX Biologics and as the Chairman of the board of directors since 2019. Mr. McCallum also serves as managing partner of JAM Capital Partners, a private investment partnership that makes majority and minority investments in middle-market operating companies.

Before forming JAM Capital Partners, Mr. McCallum worked in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs & Co., where he was responsible for developing asset allocation strategies for his clients. Prior to working at Goldman Sachs, Mr. McCallum served as Legislative Aide to the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Honorable Newt Gingrich, focusing on budget, banking, and tax issues. Mr. McCallum has also served as Chief Executive Officer of several ventures in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

Mr. McCallum currently serves as Director of Rapid Medical, CorMatrix Cardiovascular, Atterx Biotherapeutics, Baler and Compaction Equipment LLC, and Steel Creek Galvanizing. He previously served on the boards of Amendia (acquired by Kohlberg & Co.) and AxoGen (Nasdaq: AXGN), among others.

Mr. McCallum received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Washington and Lee University and received his Master’s in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He also served in the United States Naval Reserve and received an honorable discharge.
