Last month, Imran Khan left Snap after three years with the company. Khan was widely considered Evan Spiegel’s right hand man running everything from strategy to corporate development. According to a securities filing, Khan is leaving “to pursue other opportunities” and “is not related to any disagreement with us on any matter relating to our accounting, strategy, management, operations, policies, or practices (financial or otherwise).”

“Imran has been a great partner building our business. We appreciate all of his hard work and wish him the best” said Evan Spiegel, Chief Executive Officer.

“There is never a perfect time to say goodbye, but we have a stellar leadership team in place to guide Snap through the next chapter, and I plan to stay on to ensure a very smooth transition” said Mr. Khan.

Today, Snap announced that it has brought on two new executives from Amazon and Huffington Post. Jeremi Gorman will be the company’s new Chief Business Officer managing “Global Business Solutions, Global Online Sales, Customer Operations, and Business Marketing” according to an internal email sent by Evan Spiegel to employees. Gorman was previously Head of Global Advertising Sales at Amazon.

Jared Grusd will be the company’s new Chief Strategy Officer managing “Content, Global Strategy, Partnerships, and Corporate Development” according to Spiegel. Jared, who is an attorney by training, has held leadership positions at Spotify, Google and Oath, and for the past three years, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of The Huffington Post.

Both executives will be reporting directly to Spiegel. Check out Snap’s updated org chart here!
