Arden Hoffman leaves Dropbox and joins Cruise Automation

Arden Hoffman joins Cruise Automation to lead Human Resources at the autonomous vehicle company. Cruise plans to double it's engineering staff over the next nine months according to TechCrunch so Hoffman's experience as Global Head of HR at Dropbox will be invaluable.

Hoffman has been VP, Head of HR at Dropbox for more than 4 years and before that she was Director of People Operations at Google. She holds an MBA from Wharton and a BA in Rhetoric from University of California, Berkeley.

General Motors acquired Cruise in March 2016 for more than $500 million but has continued to operate independently. Dan Ammann, who previously was President at GM, took over as CEO of Cruise at the end of 2018 and co-Founder Kyle Vogt moved to President & CTO.
