Daniel Ollgaard Joins The Org as Head of Business Development

Daniel Ollgaard, Head of Business Development at The Org

Daniel Ollgaard has recently become the newest member of The Org team, taking on the role of Head of Business Development. He will be based in the New York office, and will report directly to CEO and Co-Founder Christian Wylonis.

His main responsibility as Head of Business Development is to develop The Org’s monetization strategy and paid products. Daniel says early on this will involve a lot of conversations and close collaboration with future users in order to develop products truly valuable to the users.

Daniel said that he was drawn to The Org because the concept immediately made sense to him. “It’s a really cool opportunity to join the company at an early stage and help build a business that I truly believe adds value,” he added.

Daniel brings a range of valuable experience to The Org. He started his career in financial services consulting in London, working at Expand Research, a benchmarking company within BCG. Here he helped executives within the tech and ops space of corporate & investment banks validate their investment strategies and levels of efficiency. Daniel transferred to New York City with Expand in late 2017. In 2019 he joined Button, a technology provider within the mobile affiliate marketing space. He initially worked in the Business Operations & Strategy team within the Revenue group, and then went on to lead the Financial Planning & Strategy team, reporting to Button’s CFO.

Daniel was born and bred in Copenhagen, and has mixed Danish and Cuban-American ancestry. He has lived in New York for around two and a half years, and prior to that lived in the UK for nine years, where he completed his studies, and began his working career.

As a true Dane, Daniel loves to get out and explore the city on his bicycle. He's also a craft beer enthusiast, and feels lucky to be able to spend his spare time exploring the impressive craft beer scene in New York.
