Domino’s Pizza UK CFO Dies During Family Vacation

The chief financial officer of Domino’s Pizza Group PLC, David Bauernfeind, died in an accident on Thursday, according to the company. Reuters reported that Bauernfeind died in a snorkeling accident while on vacation with his family in Mauritus. “We are all deeply shocked and saddened by this tragic news,” the company said in a statement. “David was hugely liked and deeply respected for his dedication and sharp intellect amongst Domino’s colleagues. He was a force for good within the business and will be greatly missed.” The London-listed Domino's Pizza Group operates franchises in the U.K. and several other European countries for the U.S. parent company, Domino’s. Bauernfeind joined the company as CFO in 2018. He was previously the chief financial officer at Connect Group PLC, a newspaper distribution company.
