Suzanne Scott the CEO of Fox News Media, which encompasses the company’s flagship Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, has signed a new multi-year contract to remain in her current role.

Scott, who reports directly to Lachlan Murdoch, the Executive Chairman and CEO of the Fox Corporation, first assumed the role as the network’s first female CEO in May 2018. She has served as a member of Fox’s executive leadership team since 2017 and spearheaded initiatives to foster a more transparent workplace following the resignation of then-CEO Roger Ailes who faced multiple accusations of sexual harassment by Fox News employees.

Under her leadership, in 2020 Fox News Media became a certified "Great Place to Work" for the first time. Among the changes Scott instituted were quarterly meetings with all employees, networking events for women, an interdisciplinary employee mentoring program, doubling the size of the HR department, and creating a diverse leadership team with women making up more than half of all senior executives.

However, in the coming years, Scott will have her work cut out for her as the network faces a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit over its coverage of the 2020 presidential election. Additionally, last month the network slipped in the rankings, losing the top spot to CNN as viewers left the network for alternative channels like Newsmax.

In a press release, Murdoch said: "Suzanne's stellar leadership and business acumen is evident across FOX News Media. Her investments in the people and purpose of FOX News have enabled us to shatter ratings records, build a leading multi-platform news brand and create a more collaborative and inclusive internal culture. Suzanne's track record of success, innovative sprit and dedication to excellence make her the ideal person to continue to lead and grow FOX News."
