Glenn Keet Joins Ciitizen as its VP of Health Information Exchange (HIE) Strategy

Healthcare technology company, Ciitizen, has welcomed healthcare information technology industry expert Glenn Keet as VP of HIE Strategy.

Keet has over 35 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. In 1995, He co-founded Axolotl, a HIE company focused on securely moving and sharing patient information. His company was later acquired by Optum, where he served as SVP of Business Development. In November 2012, Keet became the CEO of ClinCapture, a company that provides cloud-based SaaS solutions to the clinical trial industry and most recently he was the GM of Healthcare Solutions at Clinithink.

“With Glenn on our team to lead the charge on our HIE strategy, we can propel the industry forward and develop an international system that will ultimately provide the kind of data liquidity needed to tackle the biggest medical challenges, such as curing cancer and rare diseases,” Anil Sethi, founder and CEO at Ciitizen said in a press release.

In his new role, Keet will develop existing and new relationships with HIE organizations and improve access to health data in the industry.

“My goal is to create the first nationwide network of HIEs that is focused solely on benefiting patients, enabling them to gain access to, and control of, their health records,” Keet said in a statement. “By enabling cancer patients to have their information gathered and curated in one place, Ciitizen is poised to unlock the promise of precision medicine and timely access to clinical trials. I look forward to building out Ciitizen’s existing partnerships to ensure patients are getting the highest quality of care possible.”
