Matterport Appoints Robin Daniels as New Chief Marketing Officer

Leading spatial data capture company, Matterport, has announced the hire of Robin Daniels as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), reporting directly to CEO, RJ Pittman.

Daniels previously serevd as the CMO for WeWork, and prior to that, he has held leadership positions at LinkedIn, Salesforce, and Box. He has over 20 years experience in business and marketing, building the brands of high-growth companies across Europe and the US. He is originally from Denmark, but has lived in the US for the last 20 years.

"As we continue our rapid pace of innovation and expansion of our global platform, Robin's impressive hypergrowth leadership will be instrumental in scaling the business through the eyes of our customers and future customers," commented Pittman.

Daniels will lead Matterport's worldwide marketing strategy, and will drive all marketing and communications initiatives globally.

He told The Org that he joined Matterport because of its “truely game-changing technology that will change how we view, engage with, and collaborate with the physical world. There's nothing else like it out there, with the quality that they have.” He said.

Daniels said his top priorities initially will be focusing the team on the right campaigns and launches to keep the business moving fast. Longer-term, he will be looking at how to create a “super-brand” and “a category around capturing the built world around us”.
