Mercedes-Benz Vans USA has named Nicolette Lambrechts as it’s new Vice President and Managing Director of Sales and Marketing. Lambrechts will be replacing Robert Veit, who will become the Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Vans UK. She will assume the position on May 1st.

An industry veteran, Lambrechts has been with Mercedes-Benz for two decades. She first joined the company in 2001 as a graduate trainee in South Africa, then slowly made her way up, holding various management positions within the company. By 2017, Lambrechts became the Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Vans Canda, then in October 2019, she joined the Mercedes-Benz Vans team in the United States as the General Manager for Sales.

“We are very pleased that Nicolette Lambrechts will take over the position as Head of Sales and Marketing of Mercedes-Benz Vans USA. The United States is the largest market for our Sprinter vans after Germany. With her many years of international experience in the field of Sales & Marketing, we’re confident she will further develop our van business,” Marcus Breitschwerdt, Executive Vice President Mercedes-Benz AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans said in a statement, “I would like to thank Robert Veit for an outstanding job overseeing the U.S. market. I am convinced that his wealth of experience and leadership skills will help to continue to drive our business ambition forward as Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Vans UK.”

Although Mercedes-Benz USA saw an 8.9% decrease in it’s 2020 annual sales in comparison to the same period in 2019, the company remains positive.

"I am both encouraged and impressed by the entrepreneurial spirit and commitment of our dealer partners to tirelessly deliver for our customers, amidst a host of unprecedented challenges in 2020," Dimitris Psillakis, President and CEO of MBUSA said in a press release. "We are excited to introduce nine new models in the months ahead, including the all-new S-Class and the EQS electric, and continue to leverage the natural market gravitation of SUVs."
