Ted Baker CEO quits

The British company Ted Baker said in a statement Monday that Ray Kelvin has left with immediate effect. He had been on a voluntary leave of absence since December following allegations of harassment, including what has been described as "forced hugging" and "inappropriate touching" of staff members.

Ted Baker said that Lindsay Page has aggreed to remain in his role as acting CEO, which he has held since Kelvin first went on leave. Moreover the board has asked David Bernstein, who has chaired the firm since 2003, to act as executive chairman.

Ray Kelvin founded Ted Baker in 1988 and still owns about a third of the company.
