Tesla loses its Head of Security after just 8 months

Christian Wylonis

Tesla's Senior Director of Security, Kurt Wagner, has left the company after just 8 months on the job. The previous head of global security, Jeff Jones, left the company in November after just eleven months. Tesla declined to comment on the departure but according to sources he was dismissed because “his position was no longer needed.”

In a statement on LinkedIn, Wagner said: "Elon musk is a visionary and Tesla employees second only to the shadow warriors of the CIA in ingenuity, courage and perseverance. As I move to the next phase of my professional life, I’m proud and honored to have worked alongside them."
