Executive Moves

SoftBank announced that Ron Fisher, Simon Segars, and Yuko Kawamoto will leave its board. Nominated to replace these board members are Keiko Erikawa and Ken Siegel. Source | Full Story

Morgan Stanley has announced that Ted Pick and Andy Saperstein have been named Co-Presidents of the Wall Street bank, effective on June 1, 2021. Source | Full Story

Goldman Sachs appointed Kimberley D. Harris to its Board of Directors as an independent director and a member of the firm’s Governance, Compensation, and Public Responsibilities Committees. Source | Full Story

Apollo Global Management announced that Co-Founder Josh Harris has decided to step down from his day-to-day role at the firm. He will continue to serve on Apollo’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Board. Source

Apollo Global Management promoted Stephanie Drescher to Chief Client and Product Development Officer. She most recently served as Senior Partner and Global Head of CPS. Source

Morgan Stanley’s Global Head of Prime Brokerage, Edward Keller, will depart the company to attend to a personal issue. Penny Novick and Kim Shaw will succeed Keller as Global Co-Heads of Prime Brokerage. Source

Klarna confirmed that Roger W. Ferguson Jr will join its Board of Directors. Ferguson is the former Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the U.S. Federal Reserve System and the former President and CEO of TIAA. Source

USAA has named Ramnik Bajaj as its new SVP and Chief Data and Analytics Officer. Most recently, he was the EVP and Head of Data Environment and Transformation at Wells Fargo & Company. Source

Wells Fargo announced that Ulrike Guigui has been named head of Payments Strategy, effective June 1. She joins the bank from Deloitte, where she was most recently Managing Director and Head of Deloitte’s Payments Practice. Source

Lazard revealed that William H. McRaven has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor in the firm’s Financial Advisory business, effective immediately. McRaven is a retired US Navy four-star admiral and the former head of the US Special Operations Command. Source

Guggenheim Partners’ investment banking and capital markets division, Guggenheim Securities, announced that Benjamin Wilson has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director in its Mergers & Acquisitions advisory practice. He joins from J.P. Morgan where he was a Managing Director and Head of North America Shareholder Engagement and M&A Capital Markets in its Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Banking practice. Source

SVB Leerink revealed that Anurag Jindal, M.D. has joined the firm's Biopharma team as a Senior Managing Director. Dr. Jindal joins SVB Leerink from Bank of America where he was a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking group. Source

Arch Capital Group announced that Christine Todd will join the company as Chief Investment Officer, effective June 7, 2021. Todd previously served as the Head of Fixed Income, U.S. for Amundi US. Source

Blackstone’s life sciences business, Blackstone Life Sciences, appointed Dr. Olivier Brandicourt, former CEO of Sanofi, Dr. Omar Ishrak, former Chairman and CEO of Medtronic, Dr. Francois Nader, former CEO of NPS Pharma, and Kim Popovits, former CEO of Genomic Health, as Senior Advisors. Source

Blackstone announced the appointment of Alasdair Cathcart as a Senior Advisor to Blackstone Energy Partners. Previously, Cathcart was a senior executive at Bechtel. Source

Danske Bank has appointed Magnus Agustsson as its new Chief Risk Officer. He previously served as CRO of SEB in Sweden. Source

Adams Street Partners named Yohan Hill as Director of ESG and Responsible Investing. Prior to joining Adams Street, Hill served as Manager of ESG Innovation and Analytics at S&P Global Trucost. Source

M&T Bank has hired Brian Klock as SVP. He joins M&T from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (KBW), where he was Managing Director and Head of Large Regional U.S. Bank Research. Source

Avant has appointed Matt Bochenek as CEO. He will succeed James Paris, who has served as CEO since January 2020. Paris will transition into a new role as Vice Chairman of Avant. Source

KeyCorp announced that James L. Waters will be joining the bank as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary effective July 6, 2021. Prior to joining Key, he served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Cullen/Frost Bankers. Source

Traub Capital announced that David West has joined the firm as a Managing Director in New York. He joins Traub Capital from Brynwood Partners. Source

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors revealed that Colin Lancaster will be joining the firm as Global Head of Discretionary Macro & Fixed Income later this summer. Most recently he was in the process of building out a new multi-manager fund at Matador. Source

Atlantic Street Capital announced that Jay Steinle has joined the firm as a Partner. Prior to joining Atlantic Street, Jay was a Managing Director for global fundraising at Lighthouse Investment Partners. Source

Upland Capital Group has hired Mark Jones to be its Chief Risk Officer, Chief Actuary, and Head of Analytics. He most recently served as the Director of Advanced Analytics, Technology, and Actuarial at PwC. Source

Haversine Funding has named Jeffrey Whaley as its new CFO. Whaley most recently worked as an SVP within the fund accounting leadership team at Goldman Sachs. Source

Five Star Bank named Randall Reynoso to the Board of Directors effective May 20, 2021. Mr. Reynoso will serve on the Board’s Loan Committee. Source

WisdomTree Investments promoted Bryan Edmiston to Chief Financial Officer, effective June 1, 2021. He previously served as Chief Accounting Officer. Source

Bank of Southern California appointed Christopher D. Maggio as its first SVP, Credit Team Manager. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Senior Credit Administrator for American Business Bank. Source

First Republic Bank announced that Scott Grenert and Kevin MacIntyre have joined as Managing Directors and Wealth Managers in Boston. Source

Homrich Berg added William (Bill) L. Mehserle Jr. from FourThought Private Wealth as a Director. Source
