NBCUniversal's Telemundo has named Juan Ponce as the leader of its brand-new streaming service. Ponce, who has promoted from SVP of Production Operations and Strategy, will serve as the venture’s first SVP and General Manager. Source | Full Story
Disney has announced that the Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution’s (DMED) Technology team been rearranged. As part of the shuffle it has hired three new execs and promoted at least four others. Source | Full Story
Disney-owned Lucasfilm has updated Dave Filoni’s title from Executive Producer to Executive Creative Director for the entire studio, the promotion officially took place last summer but wasn’t reflected on its website until this week causing excitement and confusion on Twitter. Source
Vox Media has named Jennifer Cullem as its new Head of Product. She joins Vox from Spotify, where she spent the past three years launching various products for the music streaming services industry partners. Source
Dirty Robber has tapped Jasper Thomlinson as the company’s new head of branded content. Thomlinson was recently a partner at Caviar Content where he helped open new offices in Paris, London and Madrid. Source
Peephole Productions has named Jamie Rhys-Lawrence as Head of Development. Rhys-Lawrence joins Peephole from Mom de Guerre Productions. Source
