Executive Moves

Warner Bros Television Group has named Rebecca Marks from NBC as its new EVP of Publicity and Communications. Source | Full Story

NBCUniversal's Telemundo has named Juan Ponce as the leader of its brand-new streaming service. Ponce, who has promoted from SVP of Production Operations and Strategy, will serve as the venture’s first SVP and General Manager. Source | Full Story

Disney has announced that the Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution’s (DMED) Technology team been rearranged. As part of the shuffle it has hired three new execs and promoted at least four others. Source | Full Story

Discovery CEO David Zaslav has stepped down from the Board of Directors of Lions Gate Entertainment, the parent company of the independent studio Lionsgate and Starz effective immediately. Source

Disney’s Media & Entertainment Distribution Technology group has promoted and hired a handful of executives as it realigns its business for continued growth. Source

Disney-owned Lucasfilm has updated Dave Filoni’s title from Executive Producer to Executive Creative Director for the entire studio, the promotion officially took place last summer but wasn’t reflected on its website until this week causing excitement and confusion on Twitter. Source

Vox Media has named Jennifer Cullem as its new Head of Product. She joins Vox from Spotify, where she spent the past three years launching various products for the music streaming services industry partners. Source

Mubi has hired Michael Lieberman, formerly head of publicity at Metrograph, as Director of Communications, U.S. Source

Dapper Labs has recruited Jackie Rubin, eOne’s SVP of Corporate Communications, as its new SVP of Communications. Source

Dirty Robber has tapped Jasper Thomlinson as the company’s new head of branded content. Thomlinson was recently a partner at Caviar Content where he helped open new offices in Paris, London and Madrid. Source

Deezer has hired Jeronimo Folgueira as the company’s new CEO. Prior to joining Deezer, Jeronimo was the CEO and Director of the Board of Spark Networks in Berlin. Source

Jonas Group Entertainment has named Phil Guerini as its Nashville-based CEO. Guernini previously oversaw Radio Disney, Radio Disney Country, and all aspects of Disney’s music strategy. Source

Range Media Partners has announced Tyler Henry has joined as the newest Managing Partner in its music division. The company has also hired Charles “CJ” Cook and Phoebe Wang as Managers. Source

Hallwood Media has named Chukwudi Obi as Manager. Source

Peephole Productions has named Jamie Rhys-Lawrence as Head of Development. Rhys-Lawrence joins Peephole from Mom de Guerre Productions. Source
