Workplace Tech

Firstup, a SaaS leader in the digital employee experience, is pleased to announce that Nicole Alvino, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer, has been appointed CEO.

Databook, an enterprise customer intelligence platform, announced that Tamar Shor has been named the company’s SVP of Product. Most recently, she served as VP Product at Treasure Data.

SeekOut, an AI-powered talent platform, named Kristin Scott as its first Chief Revenue Officer. Scott joins SeekOut from Appian,where he served as VP of North American Sales.

Groove, an sales engagement platform for enterprises using Salesforce, revealed Craig Thomas has joined the company as SVP of Operations. Most recently, Craig served as vVP of Revenue Operations at ThousandEyes.

Fintech

Repay, a provider of vertically-integrated payment solutions, added David Guthrie to the executive team in the role of CTO. He joins REPAY from Sharecare, where he was the Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer.

Built, a construction finance platform, named Amrit Gill as the Global Head of Partnerships. Prior to joining Built, Amrit served as Vice President, Head of Partnerships at Trepp.

Fundraise Up, a fundraising platform for enterprise nonprofits, hired Ajay Chidrawar as VP of Customer Success. Prior to Fundraise Up, Ajay served as the VP of Customer Success at DailyPay.

Bench, a bookkeeping and tax advisory fintech platform, hired Jean-Philippe (JP) Durrios, as the company’s first President and CFO. JP joins Bench from DISQO, where he was CFO and COO.

Coinme, a U.S. cryptocurrency cash exchange, appointed Tom Davis to serve as the company’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Davis comes from IBM’s North American Business Unit.

InsurTech

Pathpoint, the insurance industry's first self-service E&S platform, appointed Ralph Blust to the position of CRO and President. Most recently, he was CEO of National Flood Services.

Kinetic Insurance, a wearable insurtech, named Jose Cruz Regional as its VP of Business Development. Prior to joining Kinetic, Cruz served as a business development executive with WCF Insurance, Pacific Compensation Insurance Company, Willis, and Atlas General Insurance Services.

Health Tech

Solera Health, a platform for connecting people seamlessly and easily to health solutions that work, named Jennifer Young as Chief Revenue Office and Jody Spusta as Chief Customer Officer. Prior to Solera, Young served as Chief Commercial Officer of icometrix, while Spusta worked as VP of Strategy for Welltok.

RapidAI, a neurovascular and vascular imaging company leveraging AI, announced Karim Karti, the former President and CEO of GE Healthcare Imaging, as the its new CEO.

Suki, a startup creating voice artificial intelligence (AI) technology for health care, appointed Eric Grosse as its first President. He comes to Suki from Chairish, an online marketplace he co-founded in 2012.

MyWoundDoctor, a telehealth wound care clinical services provider, appointed Steve Janicak as CEO. Prior to joining MyWoundDoctor, Janicak was the President, Healthcare Division, for Tivity Health.

Ed Tech

Course Hero, a learning platform, appointed Sean Michael Morris as VP of Academics. Morris most recently served as Senior Instructor of Learning Design and Technology at the University of Colorado Denver.

Codecademy, an online learning platform for technical skills, named Robin Zucker as its first Chief Marketing Officer. Zucker served as the company's interim CMO since March 2021.

E-Commerce

Wish, a mobile e-commerce platform, today announced the appointment of Vijay Talwar as CEO. He most recently served as the CEO of Foot Locker’s Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) business.

Wayfair, an online home goods retailer, named Fiona Tan to succeed Jim Miller as CTO on March 1. She recently served as the SVP of U.S. Technology at Walmart.

Internet

Pawtocol, creator of the world’s first pet platform powered by blockchain technology, today announced the appointment of Colin Jordan as CEO. Jordan most recently held leadership roles in sales and marketing at Egnyte.

Media Tech

Electronic Arts, a video game publisher, named Chris Suh as its CFO, effective March 1. Suh joins Electronic Arts from Microsoft, where he currently serves as Corporate Vice President and CFO of its Cloud + AI group.

Soundtrack Your Brand, a background music streaming service, named Lisa Farris as its Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, Farris served as the Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer for the Recording Academy.

Transportation Tech

Velodyne Lidar picked Dr. Anurag Gupta as its new EVP of Engineering. Dr. Gupta was previously the SVP of Engineering at Sense Photonics, where he was the Senior Vice President of Engineering.

Logistics Tech

Embark Trucks, a developer of autonomous technology for the trucking industry, hired Stephen Houghton as its COO. Houghton has served as Chief Operations and Fleet Officer at Embark since June 2021.

Cybersecurity

Okta, an identity verification provider, named Brett Tighe, Okta’s interim CFO, as its permanent CFO.

Virtru, a data protection company, announced that Matt Howard has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to Virtru, Howard served as SVP and CMO at Sonatype.

McAfee Enterprise has selected Gee Rittenhouse as its new CEO. Most recently, Rittenhouse led Cisco’s Security Business Group.

Cerberus Sentinel, a Managed Compliance and Cybersecurity Provider, announced that Kyle Young has been promoted from VP of Operations to EVP of Operations.

Arkose Labs, a fraud deterrence and account security company, picked Brett Johnson, a former US Most Wanted cybercriminal, as its Chief Criminal Officer.

Urbint, the leading AI platform for predicting and stopping threats to critical infrastructure and workers, has appointed Dustin Lucien as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Urbint, Lucien served as Chief Operating Officer at financial services company Betterment.

Balbix, a provider of cybersecurity posture automation, announced Chris van Staden is joining as the Chief Revenue Officer. He joins Balbix from Invicti Security.

IT

Aircall, a cloud-based call center as a service (CCaaS)hired Pablo Gargiulo as its first Chief Revenue Officer. He recently served as Vice President of Sales at LogMeIn, CRO for Jive Communications, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Xtera.

Appfire, a software provider that helps teams solve modern challenges with digital solutions, named Doug Kersten as its Chief Information Security Officer. Most recently, Kersten served as CISO for iCIMS.

Proptech

REZI a leasing and financial technology for tenants and landlords, hired experienced real estate investor Tom Smith as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer.

AR/VR Tech

Matterport, a spatial data company selected Tom Klein as Chief Marketing Officer. Klein joins Matterport from Mailchimp, where served as Global Chief Marketing Officer.

Agritech

Sentera, a provider of digital insights to agriculture products manufacturers and distributors, and enterprise food companies, announced that Brian Wenngatz has been named CEO. Wenngatz joins Sentera from HelpSystems, where he led the company's cybersecurity software and services businesses.
