Valour, an issuer of investment products that provide exposure to innovative technologies, announced that Diana Biggs has joined the Swiss-based company as its new CEO.

As the company’s new leader, Biggs will lead Valour’s next phase of expansion, following the launch Valour’s Bitcoin exchange-traded product that comes with zero management fees, called Bitcoin Zero.

In a press release, Johan Wattenström, the Founder and Director of Valour, said her “wealth of experience in traditional finance, as well as fintech, and her vision for bringing digital assets into the mainstream” makes Biggs well suited to lead the company’s growth.

Before joining Valour, Biggs was in charge of fintech partnerships and driving open innovation as the Global Head of Innovation for HSBC Private Banking. She is an early proponent of emerging technologies and financial innovations like Bitcoin and has been involved in the blockchain ecosystem since 2013. In 2017, she hosted a TEDx talk on how blockchain technology can help build a transparent future that has garnered over 44,000 views.

“Making finance and technology more accessible has been a key focus all my professional life,” Biggs said. “So I’m delighted to have the opportunity to lead Valour in enabling investment in the latest innovations in the sector, such as digital assets, through mainstream channels.”
