Alteryx has appointed Suresh Vittal as its new Chief Product Officer, placing him in charge of the company’s Product Management, Engineering, and Development organizations. When Vittal begins his new role on February 22 he will report directly to CEO Mark Anderson.
In his new role, Vittal will be responsible for the strategic vision of Alteryx’s analytics and data science innovation, including making machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) easily accessible to citizen users.
In a press release, Anderson called Vittal “a transformational technology leader who brings world-class software strategy experience and a strong focus on customer needs.” He added that Vittal “will play a critical role in our cloud, data science and analytics automation product strategy.”
With over two decades of experience in the enterprise software space, Vittal is more than prepared for his new role. Before making the jump to Alteryx, he most recently served as the SVP in charge of platform and products at Adobe. Vittal first joined the software company in 2013 after it acquired Neolane, where he served as CPO. During his tenure at Adobe, Vittal launched and scaled the Adobe Experience Platform and helped grow the company’s Experience Cloud into one of the world’s largest SaaS businesses.
“I am thrilled to join a company that is well-positioned to help leverage and scale data science within the enterprise, democratize insight creation and distribution, and accelerate bringing analytical workloads to the cloud," Vittal said. "I look forward to leading this incredibly talented team to deliver innovative solutions to our customers, partners and advocates across the globe."
