GoDaddy Names PayPal Executive to its Board
Leah Sweet, senior VP of global design, delivery and operations at PayPal, has joined GoDaddy’s board of directors. She replaces board member Greg Mondre, who resigned to spend more time on his new role as co-CEO of Silver Lake, GoDaddy said in a statement. Silver Lake is one of the three private equity firms that acquired GoDaddy in 2011 in a deal valued at over $2 billion.
"Leah has a track record of excellence spanning operations, design, finance, management and product strategy that will make GoDaddy stronger," said GoDaddy CEO Aman Bhutani. "Leah will help us champion our everyday entrepreneur customers as we accelerate product and platform innovations, and enhance the intuitive experience we provide to help them succeed."
Sweet, who has been with PayPal for over 8 years, has held a number of senior roles at the online payments company, including in global design, product, planning and operations. Prior to PayPal, she was a vice president at CA Technologies. She has also previously served as deputy CIO of the State of Arizona and spent more than a decade at American Express in various product, technology, platform and security roles.
