US fast food chain Jack in the Box has announced the promotion of three employees to executive positions, ahead of impending CEO and Chief Legal Officer departures.

General Counsel Sarah Super is being promoted from VP to Senior VP, and is being appointed a new role of Chief Risk Officer. She will also continue to serve as General Counsel. Super joined Jack in the Box in 2013, and was recently promoted to General Counsel in November 2019.

Adrienne Ingoldt is being promoted to Senior VP, Chief Brand and Experience Officer, and Jennifer Kennedy is being made Senior VP, Chief Product and Innovation Officer.

The company’s Chief Legal Officer Phillip Rudolph is stepping down on February 28. Two other executives, Mark Blankenship, Executive VP and Chief of Staff & Strategy and Paul Melancon, Senior VP, Controller & Treasurer, departed the company earlier this month. The company stated that their responsibilities would be assumed by “others within the organization”.

In December 2019 it was announced that the CEO and Chairman Lenny Comma would leave the company on an unspecified date. In October 2018, the franchisee association called on the company to replace Comma following a July 2018 vote of no confidence in the company’s management.

The company has been battling with slowing sales and disgruntled franchisees for the last couple of years.
