Nike has announced a management shake-up which includes a new Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Andy Campion, the current executive vice president and CFO, will replace Eric Sprunk as COO, and Sprunk will depart the company. Matthew Friend, the current CFO of operating segments and vice president of investor relations, will become the company’s new CFO. Heidi O’Neill, president of Nike Direct, will become president of consumer and marketplace, succeeding Elliott Hill, who will leave Nike.

The changes will take place on 1 April 2020.

Former eBay CEO John Donahoe took over as Nike CEO from long time CEO Mark Parker on January 13 2020.

In the announcement today, Donahoe said the changes "set up the company for continued growth and demonstrate the strength of the Nike management bench."

“Heidi and Andy’s leadership has been instrumental in both evolving and driving Nike’s strategy over the last decade. In their new roles, we will see them have even greater impact on Nike’s success in the future,” he added.
