Product update: Explore, connections, and more!
We recently hit a big milestone with more than 1,500 companies on The Org and we wanted to celebrate that with a bunch of new features! It’s now waaaay easier to discover cool companies using “explore” and you can connect with your friends and colleagues using “connections”. Go check it out by signing up or logging in here.
A couple months ago we realized that it was difficult to discover all the cool companies that have added their team to The Org. We wanted to create a better way to search and filter for the companies that you are interested in. “Explore” is a simple (but hopefully effective) way to find companies based on country and industry. We hope to expand this with a more detailed key word search in the near future. You can check out the feature here and make sure to create or join your company if you haven’t already done so. Thousands of people are using explore every month so it’s important that your company can be discovered there!
Launching “connections” is the next step in achieving our mission of making it easier to communicate between companies. We started by making it easy to find the most relevant person to contact by crowdsourcing organizational charts and the next step is to allow our users to connect. “Connections” is a simple way to indicate the people that you already know on The Org (friends, colleagues, and existing business contacts) so you can make new connections. This is just the beginning of our goal to make professional networking great again!
We believe that more transparent organizations will lead to a more collaborative, and thus innovative, professional community. Professional networking has for too long been dominated by a few major players (one of them rhymes with SinkedIn) that restricts access between people to make money. That needs to change, and we hope you want to join us on that journey by signing up here – it’s free!
As always, we appreciate your feedback so please connect with us on The Org and send us an email at email@example.com with any ideas!
