SeatGeek names former Tumblr executive as Chief Technology Officer
Brian Murphy, former executive at Tumblr, The New York Times, and Condé Nast, joins SeatGeek as Chief Technology Officer. Murphy spent three years at Tumblr, where he was Chief Technology Officer and oversaw teams that worked to optimize the product for hundreds of millions of users.
At Seatgeek, Murphy will oversee the development and enhancement of SeatGeek’s product and technology across all platform. He will lead the technology teams across both SeatGeek’s consumer and enterprise offerings, helping millions of fans attend events across the globe.

Prior to Tumblr, Brian was Vice President of Engineering at The New York Times, and spent nearly a decade as the Senior Director of Technology at Condé Nast, where he oversaw the digital execution of its award winning brands.
