Hallmark Channel Parent Company CEO to Exit After Same-Sex Ad Controversy
Bill Abbott, the president and CEO of the Hallmark Channel’s parent company, is leaving weeks after the network apologized for removing commercials on the Hallmark Channel that featured same-sex couples at their weddings. Read more here.
TikTok Appoints Microsoft IP Legal Chief as its Global General Counsel
Rapidly-growing mobile video company TikTok has appointed Erich Andersen, a former Microsoft lawyer, as its Global General Counsel. Andersen was previously Microsoft’s Chief Intellectual Property Counsel. Read more here.
BP Names New Finance Chief to Succeed Brian Gilvary
As part of a change in executive leadership, oil-and-gas giant BP Plc announced the appointment of Murray Auchincloss as its new chief financial officer. He will succeed Brian Gilvary who is retiring on June 30 after a 34-year career at BP, including over eight years as CFO. Read more here.
JPMorgan Chase Promotes Leslie Gillin to CMO
JPMorgan Chase announced that Leslie Gillin will be its new chief marketing officer. She succeeds Kristin Lemkau, JPMorgan’s CMO since 2014, who was recently named CEO of JPMorgan’s new U.S. wealth management business. Read more here.
