Walmart names new Chief Merchant in an Executive Shakeup
Walmart's Chief Merchant Steve Bratspies is leaving the company, according to an internal memo sent to employees by Walmart US CEO John Furner. Scott McCall, who most recently led entertainment, toys and seasonal at Walmart, will replace Bratspies, the memo said. Read more here.
Cybersecurity Giant McAfee Names New CEO
Peter Leav will take over as CEO and President of cybersecurity company McAfee on February 3, as current CEO Chris Young steps down. Leav most recently served as President, CEO and a board member of BMC Software. Read more here.
Oracle hires former Amazon Web Services executive as CMO
Ariel Kelman is moving to Oracle to take over the Chief Marketing Officer role. Kelman joins from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he had been Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for six years. Read more here.
Intel Hires Hewlett Packard CIO Archana Deskus to Head Global IT Operations
Intel Corp. has hired Archana Deskus as its new chief information officer to oversee the chip maker’s global information technology operations. She commences her CIO role on January 30 and will report to Intel CFO George Davis. Read more here.
Gap brand CEO Neil Fiske to leave the company
Neil Fiske, the president and CEO of the Gap brand, will leave the company a few months after the board reportedly ousted Gap Inc.’s chief executive. Fiske, formerly CEO of Billabong, joined Gap in 2018. Read more here.
