Phil Liao

Phil Liao is a software engineer who currently works for 0x Labs. Phil has previously worked for Uber, Symphony Commerce, and Atlassian.

Phil graduated from UC Berkeley in 2014 with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. Phil started their career at Atlassian as a web optimization intern before moving on to Symphony Commerce where they worked as a software engineer for three years. Phil then joined Uber in April 2018 as a software engineer II on the payments team. Phil worked at Uber for two years before moving to their current position at 0x Labs.

At 0x Labs, Phil is working on an open protocol that enables the peer-to-peer exchange of tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. Phil is also a contributor to the Ethereum project.

Phil Liao attended Claremont McKenna College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Computer Science. Phil also attended Phillips Exeter Academy and the American School of Kuwait. After college, they attended Harvey Mudd College.

They are on a team with Daniel Pyrathon - Senior Engineer, Charles Reese - Engineering Manager, and Oskar Paolini - DevOps Engineer. Phil Liao reports to Wojciech Wąsik, Tech Lead.
