Lucia Forero

Lucia Forero is the Regional Director, Startup Programs - Americas at 500 Global. Lucia has also worked as a Project Manager for the Lakeland Economic Development Council and as a Faculty Aide at Harvard Extension School. Additionally, Lucia has experience as a Lecture Developer and Presenter with Trademark Tours.

Lucia’s experience with Catapult Lakeland, Inc. as a Program Facilitator - Co.Starters has given their a unique perspective on the inner workings of startups. In this role, they were responsible for executing research projects and visiting coworking spaces, incubators, and accelerators in order to gain an understanding of different startup ecosystems. Lucia was also charged with facilitating the 9-week Co.Starters program which aims to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the insights, relationships, and tools they need to turn their business ideas into action.

Before their work with Catapult, Lucia served as a Project Manager with the Lakeland Economic Development Council where they were responsible for managing economic development projects and initiatives designed to spur growth in Central Florida. Lucia also has experience working as a Faculty Aide at Harvard Extension School where they assisted faculty members with course development and delivery.

Lucia began their career in the tourism industry as a Lecture Developer and Presenter with Trademark Tours. In this role, they were responsible for developing tour content and presenting lectures to groups of tourists visiting Boston.

Lucia’s diverse professional background

Lucia Forero received their Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Business from Southeastern University. Afterward, they pursued their Master of Liberal Arts in International Relations from Harvard University.
