Adam Flater

Director, Engineering at 5x5 Technologies

Adam Flater is the current Director of Engineering at 5x5 Technologies. Prior to that, they held the position of Lead Staff Software Engineer and Product Team Lead at The Trade Desk from April 2017 to September 2020.

Under Adam's leadership, the software engineering team at The Trade Desk developed an automated bidding system for an ad tech platform, which became integrated into the company’s flagship product. Through AIML, they spearheaded discovery efforts to make the concept a reality. Their success led to more innovation and product development.

Adam worked diligently on cross-disciple communication to build a rapport based on positive feedback and recognition. The work all the teams did were intertwined and centered on a common goal. It was their job to facilitate their workflow, give technical direction, and encourage collaboration to achieve our targets. Guiding teams to work collaboratively made them more successful in achieving our common goals.

Some of Adam's notable accomplishments during their time at The Trade Desk include delivering an aggressive strategy to address customer needs months in advance, increasing opportunities to address new segments of the company’s market, and working with common languages and tools such as the AWS Platform, C#/Dot Net Core, CloudFormation, and Vertica.

Adam Flater's educational career includes a Management Essentials Certificate from Harvard Business School Online in the field of Business Administration and Management, General. Adam also has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in Computer Science. Finally, they have a High School Diploma from Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School in the field of High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates.

They work with Chris Fawcett - CRO, Richard Galvez - Director, AI, and Brian West - Director, Operations. Adam Flater reports to Anne Zink, CEO & Co-Founder.
