Main purpose of the job:

The DevOps Engineer will join a friendly and vibrant working culture where you can grow and develop. You'll also be eligible for benefits such as flexible working. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with a passion for DevOps to play a key part in the support, management and further development of the AWS DevOps environment.

The role is remote and will last at the very least 6 months but will most likely extend significantly thereafter.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will play a significant role in creating, extending & supporting the existing AWS environment with the development & support of all aspects of our:

AWS infrastructure, including network configuration and access control Continuous integration development environment Build and deployment pipeline Understanding of cloud concepts and how to design secure highly available solutions within the cloud Good Knowledge of Containerisation using Docker / Kubernetes Strong understanding of CI/CD environments and how they facilitate the automation process with other orchestration tools. Good communication skills both in written and verbal format with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Key Skills & Experience

You are interested in working with distributed systems. You are someone with a passion for creating a great technical environment. You are self-driven with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high-quality delivery. You will ideally have worked in a small team Knowledge of security and best practices Hands-on experience of core AWS technologies including:

Networking Access Control AWS Services

Experience in designing and developing continuous integration build, test and deployment environments using modern cloud-based tools and techniques including: AWS CloudFormation A WS SAM (Serverless Application Model) AWS CodeDeploy AWS CodePipline TeamCity

Nice to have

Coding skills using the NET Framework including C#.NET or VB.NET SQL Server Management
