Plamen Kalchev

Plamen Kalchev is an experienced professional in the field of cybersecurity and systems engineering. Currently serving as a Co-Organizer at Cyber Security Challenge Bulgaria since April 2022, Plamen contributes to the nation's cyber defense by leading a team competing in the ENISA CTF competition. As a Senior Penetration Tester at A-LIGN since March 2020, Plamen provides penetration testing and consulting services to clients globally and is involved in various compliance and security assessments, including SOC, PCI DSS, and ISO certifications. Prior experience includes working at ICN.BG as a System Engineer/DevOps, where responsibilities encompassed automation, security, and networking tools development, as well as system administration. Plamen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Automation and Information Technology from UCTM and a high school diploma in Information Technology and Automation from Frederic Joliot-Curie.
