Debra Panitch

Debra Panitch is an experienced tax professional and community leader, currently serving as a Tax-Aide Counselor for the AARP Foundation since December 2020, providing free tax assistance to low to moderate income taxpayers, particularly focusing on impoverished seniors. Debra has a long-standing commitment to community service, having held various leadership roles on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors at Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy from 2008 to 2023, and significant positions within the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, including Women's Campaign Co-Chair and a member of the Board of Directors. With a robust background in tax, including directorial roles at MedImmune and managerial positions at Nextel, KPMG, and Ernst & Young, Debra possesses an MST in Tax from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Michigan.
