Axel Lohbeck

Axel Lohbeck is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in quality assurance, technical support, and research and development within the automation sector. Since January 1999, Axel has served as the Global Head of Quality and Continuous Improvement at ABB, where responsibilities include organizing a 24/7 Global Technical Support network. Previous roles include Group Vice President for Technical Support and Global Technology Manager, overseeing product strategy, budget planning, and innovation management in ABB's Process Automation Division. Earlier in Axel's career, leadership positions in R&D at Elsag Bailey Process Automation and Hartmann & Braun involved the development and implementation of engineering tools and software solutions. Axel holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Information Processing from Leibniz Universität Hannover.
