Matthew Male

Matthew Male is the current Finance Director at Abbey Logistics Group. Prior to this, they served as the Finance Director for Eddie Stobart from April 2013 to December 2018. Eddie Stobart Logistics is an AIM-listed end-to-end logistics company with annual revenues of over £600 million and over 5,000 employees. Matthew's role included strategic projects such as PE buy-outs, AIM IPOs, and M&A, as well as reporting, banking and treasury, and tax.

Before their time at Eddie Stobart, Matthew was an Investment Manager at YFM Equity Partners from May 2011 to March 2013. YFM Equity Partners is a provider of private equity and mezzanine finance to SMEs of up to £10 million. Matthew's role encompassed deal origination, investment appraisal and structuring, and portfolio management across a variety of sectors but with a focus on recruitment, support services, IT, and manufacturing.

From July 2005 to March 2008, Matthew served as Assistant Director of Corporate & Structured Finance at Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander. Matthew then took on the role of Strategic Business Development Director at Paymex Group from December 2008 to April 2011.

Matthew began their career in 2002 as an Investment Manager at YFM Group until 2005 when they took on their first finance role at Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander. Matthew has since held various finance positions at Eddie Stobart and Abbey Logistics Group.

Matthew Male has a BSc in Economics from the University of York, and has also attended the William Parker School in Hastings.

Their manager is Steve Granite, Chief Executive Officer. They work with Marcia Findlay - HR Director, Dave Coulson - Commercial Director, and Peter Cunningham - Head of Liquids.
