Christopher Slachta is currently the Divisional VP of Operations for Molecular Diagnostics at Abbott. Prior to this, they served as the General Manager of Operations and Senior Director of Transfusion Medicine Operations at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics from January 2002 to December 2012. Before that, they were a Comissioned Officer in the US Army from July 1989 to July 2001, where they attained the rank of Captain in the Infantry.
Christopher Slachta has a PhD in Molecular Immunology and Microbiology from Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine, an MBA in Executive from Rutgers University - Newark, and a Post-Doc in Virology and Immune Tolerance from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Christopher also has a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from Temple University College of Allied Health. In addition, they have certification from Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in Process Excellence 6-Sigma Green Belt and from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in MT(ASCP) and MT(ASCP)BB.
