Sarah Otey

Sarah Otey has extensive experience in global trade compliance and logistics, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Global Customs Planning and Strategy at Abbott since August 2016, where responsibilities include import/export compliance, duty mitigation, and audit support, as well as acting as a subject matter expert in global tariff classification. Previous roles at Abbott included managing the US Special Trade Programs, focusing on Foreign Trade Zones and Free Trade Agreements, and prior positions involved compliance management at Claire's Inc. and trade compliance at Nissan Forklift Corporation and UPS Trade Management Services. Additionally, Sarah served as an adjunct professor in Global Business Studies at Oakton Community College. Sarah holds a Master's Degree in American/U.S. Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from Illinois State University.
