Kendra Htut

Kendra Htut is an Associate Scientist II in Bioprocess Cell Culture Development at AbbVie since August 2025. Previously, Kendra worked at Vaxart, Inc. in various roles as a Process Development Engineer, advancing from Engineer I to Engineer II from June 2022 to May 2025. Prior experience includes an undergraduate research position at the University of California, Berkeley's Reimer Lab, focusing on synthesizing metal sites for carbon dioxide adsorption and analyzing catalytic performance. Kendra served as President of BURSA UC Berkeley, facilitating networking and collaborations with Burmese organizations across multiple universities, and held the position of Vice Master Alchemist at Alpha Chi Sigma, mentoring peers and organizing events. Additionally, Kendra completed an internship in Downstream Process Engineering at Visolis, where optimization of standard operating procedures and purification processes was achieved. Kendra holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
