Nick Manterfield

Nick Manterfield is an experienced technology executive currently serving as the CIO of Corporate Bank and Group Payments at Absa Group since February 2008. In this role, Nick is responsible for Corporate Banking and Payments Technology across Africa, delivering digital strategies and pioneering new technological initiatives such as AWS adoption. Previous positions at Absa include CIO for the Corporate Bank, where Nick focused on enhancing client and colleague engagement through digital solutions, and Program Director for a significant trading systems re-platforming project. Before Absa, Nick was the Vice President and Head of FX Technology at Morgan Stanley, leading development efforts in Global Capital Markets Technology. Educational qualifications include an Advanced Management Program from MIT Sloan School of Management, a Master's degree in Management Science and Operational Research from Warwick Business School, a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Warwick, and A-Levels from The British School of Brussels.
