Daniel Batty

Daniel works as part of the Policy Analyst in the Regulatory Compliance and Market Access team.

He has 4 years’ experience in policy and regulatory analysis at EndCode, a South African technology law consultancy. Daniel has consulted on developments in privacy and data protection in Africa, regulatory considerations for advancements in health-tech, artificial intelligence and pandemic response measures. He has also participated in multiple panel discussions on a wide range of topics including ethics in artificial intelligence, privacy developments in Africa, and health-tech developments in Rwanda.

In addition to the above, Daniel served as the Legal Risk mentor for 2 years at the MEST Express Accelerator program based in Ghana where he advised African startups on assessing and mitigating legal risk facing their enterprises
