Julianne Donnelly Tzul serves as the Advocacy Director at the ACLU of Idaho since August 2023, having previously held the position of Executive Director at the International Rescue Committee in Boise from February 2011 to August 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Program Director for the Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project at Catholic Charities of Los Angeles from 2008 to 2011, where responsibilities included supervising attorneys, developing legal practice manuals, and enhancing funding and services. Julianne also worked as Supervising Attorney at the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. from 2004 to 2008, managing removal defense representation and pro bono training. Early career experience as a Detention Attorney involved representing clients in various immigration proceedings. Julianne holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Oberlin College.
