David Cole

David Cole is the National Legal Director at ACLU. Prior to that, they were a Partner at Baker & McKenzie from June 1999 to February 2011, where they advised global and domestic companies, financial institutions and funds on cross-border and domestic acquisitions and divestitures, securities offerings and senior credit facilities. Before that, they were an Associate at Galland Kharasch Morse & Garfinkle, PC from August 1997 to June 1999, advising transportation companies on M&A and project sponsors on privatization of international airports.

David Cole has a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rochester.

They are on a team with Yasmin Cader - Deputy Legal Director & Director of the Trone Center for Justice and Equality, Liz Fitzgerald - Director of Development, and Sophie Kim Goldmacher - Chief People Officer. Their manager is Anthony D. Romero, Executive Director.
