Jonathan Wells has extensive experience in the financial technology (fintech) industry, with a particular focus on trading systems and technology architecture. Jonathan co-founded and serves as the CTO of Adaptive Investment Solutions, a fintech startup that develops computational trading systems for managing risk and generating income for client portfolios. At U.S. Bank, Jonathan held various roles including Technology Group Manager for application development and Head of Capital Markets Technology, where they built teams and delivered major architectural projects for retail payments systems and fixed income and currency trading. Prior to that, they worked at Goldman Sachs as a Technology Leader, driving strategic initiatives in derivatives clearing services. Jonathan also served as a mentor and advisor at the FinTech Innovation Lab. Jonathan's expertise lies in technology development, infrastructure management, and strategic program management in the financial industry.
Jonathan Wells has a diverse education history. Jonathan pursued an MBA with a finance major at The Wharton School from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc/MEng degree in Microelectronic Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester. Jonathan also completed an altMBA program, known as altMBA37, through Seth Godin's Akimbo Workshops starting in 2020. Furthermore, they hold a Master of Engineering degree in Microelectronic Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester.
In addition to their degrees, Jonathan has obtained certifications in the field of technology. Jonathan completed the Deep Learning Nanodegree Foundation program offered by Udacity in May 2017. Jonathan also received a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in October 2012.
