Robert J. Hopkins

Dr. Bob Hopkins previously served as Senior Medical Advisor in the Division of Clinical Services (DCS) for the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), Washington DC. Prior to that he has held various roles including Director of Clinical Research at Merck Research Laboratories, Vice President of Product Development at Aeras, and team leader at Emergent BioSolutions in clinical development and regulatory strategy efforts for anti-infective products and vaccines, and at the Center for Drug Evaluation Research, FDA in the Divisions of Special Pathogens and Immunologic Drug Products and Anti-Infective Drug Products. Dr. Hopkins has served on multiple NIH study sections and has served as a reviewer for multiple journals in the area of infectious disease. He is board-certified in internal medicine (1992, 2006, 2014) and infectious disease (1994, 2006, 2016).
