Abebawu Eshetu

Chief Data Scientist at Adludio

Abebawu Eshetu started working at Adludio in 2020, initially as a Senior Data Scientist and later promoted to the role of Chief Data Scientist in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Haramaya University starting in 2013. At Haramaya University, they held various roles including Senior Lecturer from August 2013 to November 2021, IBM Academy Coordinator from December 2017 to January 2020, and Head of Information Technology Department from August 2018 to May 2019.

Abebawu Eshetu's education history is as follows:

In 2019, Abebawu attended the 10 Academy Summer School, where they studied Data Science.

Also in 2019, they participated in the Data Science Africa 2019 Summer School in Accra, Ghana, focusing on Data Science.

Additionally, in 2019, Abebawu attended the Deep Learning Indaba-X Summer School at Wolaita Sodo University in Ethiopia, specializing in Deep Learning.

From 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master's degree in Information Technology at Jimma University.

Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, Abebawu completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Information Technology at Jimma University.

Abebawu's secondary education took place at Ligaba High school in Wolita Soddo, where they obtained a Secondary School Leaving Certificate in Natural Sciences from 2004 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Abebawu has also obtained several certifications. In September 2019, they completed the "Machine Learning with Python" certification from IBM. In April 2017, they received the "Security Intelligence Engineer - Mastery Award" from IBM. In July 2016, they obtained the "Application Security Analyst - Explorer Award for Students 2016," the "Big Data Developer - Mastery Award for Students 2016," the "Mobile Application Administrator - Mastery Award for Students 2016," and the "Mobile Application Developer - Mastery Award for Students 2016," all from IBM.
